Preparing for Your Spray Tan: What You Need to Know
To ensure the best possible results from your spray tan, it’s important to properly prepare your skin. One key step is to shave or wax 1-3 days before your appointment. This timing is crucial as it allows your skin to recover and your pores to close, preventing uneven application or irritation. Avoid shaving or waxing on the day of your spray tan, as open pores or freshly treated skin can lead to patchiness or discomfort.
Avoid using deodorant, oils, makeup and moisturisers before your Spray Tan appointment as it will add a barrier on your skin and affect your results/development.
Preparing for Your Facial: A Quick Guide
Getting ready for a facial is simple, but a little preparation can help you get the most out of your treatment. To start, avoid wearing makeup on the day of your appointment to ensure your skin is clean and ready for cleansing. Skip exfoliating or using harsh skincare products, like retinol or acids, for at least 48 hours beforehand to prevent irritation. If you shave your face, make sure you do so at least 24 hours prior to your treatment to avoid sensitivity. On the day of your facial, drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated and avoid sun exposure to limit any potential sensitivity.
How to Prepare for a Massage
Start by staying hydrated before your session—drinking water helps your body flush out toxins released during the massage. Avoid heavy meals right before your appointment as this may cause discomfort while lying down. Make sure to wear loose, comfortable clothing that's easy to remove or change into.
How to Prepare for a Pedicure
Getting ready for a pedicure can make the experience smoother and more enjoyable. Start by washing your feet thoroughly, removing any dirt or old nail polish. Avoid shaving your legs on the day of your pedicure to prevent irritation, especially if exfoliating scrubs or products will be used. Wear open-toed footwear, such as sandals, to avoid smudging your fresh polish after the session.
